Rainbow runway Alphonse Island Seychelles - 6166
A tractor stopped by a rainbow on the airstrip of Alphonse Island, a beautiful small coralline island in Seychelles. Landing here is quit spectacular as the airstrip literally goes from one side of the island to the other. You better have an airplane with good brakes.
Golden sunset Reunion - 9686
The shorelines of Reunion are full of these black volcanic rocks what makes the beaches black instead of white, even the sand. The sunsets however are as beautifull and golden as anywhere.
Misty mountains Reunion - 9439
The mountains in Reunion reach heights of over 3000 meters (Piton de Neige), pretty high for a small island with an outline of only 207 km. The weather can change quick up there and chances that you end up in a thick fog layer after a certain hour are high, so you better leave in time if you want to enjoy the view.

A shot I took on the Farquhar Atoll, one of the outer Islands of Seychelles, while on expedition with ICS on board of the Marine Yacht Pangaea.
Red sunset with birds - 5247
Sunsets in the Indian Ocean are just beautiful. I couldn't resist taking my camera out and shooting it over and over, and every time you get something else. Despite it's remote location, over 700 km away of the main granitic inner Islands of Seychelles, Astove has been inhabited since the early days, and this old coconut plantation is evidence of what was harvested here. World most beautiful beach Anse Lazio Praslin - 1163
Anse Lazio on Praslin has been voted the world moest beautiful beach several times. It is quite pretty for sure but Seychelles has a lot of real pretty beaches, hard to choose one... Another perfect day in Anse Royale, Seychelles. You can see the small island Ile Souris and the beach of Fairyland.
Parapente lagoon Reunion - 0304
Paragliding is very popular in the southwest of Reunion. Specially in the town of St Denis. It must be awesome to fly there, the blue ocean on one side, and impressive mountain landscapes on the other. And on top of that a great climate. Too bad the landing area seems a bit tight to put down a hangglider...
Blue sea sky paradise beach Denis Island - 5900
Denis Private Island is the ultimate private holiday getaway. As the name suggests, the island is privately owned by the Mason family, who run a luxury resort here, but also a very successful ecological farm.
